We’re kicking off May with exclusive insights from the legal tech leaders joining us this June at Legal Innovators California. As part of a special interview series hosted by our conference chair Richard Tromans—also the founder of Artificial Lawyer and our event partner—we’re spotlighting the trailblazers shaping the future of legal innovation.
New Interview: Adam Nguyen on Generative AI & In-House Innovation
In the latest conversation, Richard Tromans sat down with Adam Nguyen, Co-Founder of eBrevia, to explore the legal tech landscape and discuss why he was excited about the West Coast’s premier legal innovation event.

Adam Nguyen will join us on Day 2 – In-House Day, where he will participate in the panel discussion titled: “Doing More In-House with Generative AI” alongside other in-house experts.” In this session, Adam will share his insights on the evolving role of AI in legal departments. He will discuss strategies for determining which tasks should be delegated to external advisers in the age of AI and which can now be handled internally through self-serve solutions for in-house clients.
As a co-founder of eBrevia (est. 2011), Adam has shaped the company’s product vision, led major client relationships, and personally contributed to over 80% of its revenue. Prior to that, he served as Chief-of-Staff and Legal Officer at Vantage Properties, a 350-person real estate investment firm managing $2B in assets. He also practiced law at Paul Weiss and A&O Shearman, focusing on M&A and fund formation.
Exclusive Insights: Annie Datesh on the Human Side of AI
To warm up, Richard also spoke with Annie Datesh, Chief Innovation Officer at Wilson Sonsini, about two of the most pressing questions in the legal tech space:
Did generative AI finally reshape the legal market?
Had we solved the accuracy and reliability challenges in AI tools?

Annie will join us on Day 1 – Private Practice Day, where she will participate in a fireside chat titled:
“Beyond Implementation: The Human Side of AI Adoption and Change Management” alongside Kyle Johnson, Director of AI at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
At Wilson Sonsini, Annie leads the firm’s innovation strategy and legal tech initiatives, including the development of Neuron, the firm’s proprietary software platform for startups and emerging companies. With nearly ten years of experience as a corporate attorney, Annie brings a unique perspective on the challenges of scaling high-growth companies. Her in-house experience includes a secondment to Block (formerly Square) during its IPO and a leadership role at Atrium, a legal tech startup, where she served as both Managing Counsel and Director of Legal Innovation.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Adam Nguyen, Annie Datesh, and other leading voices at Legal Innovators California this June. This is where the future of legal innovation will unfold, with in-house leaders, private practice pioneers, and legal tech visionaries coming together to shape the next chapter in the industry.
We look forward to seeing you there and continuing the conversation!
